The firm

Built on practice, not theory.

Veritas is Latin for truth. We believe that's the only standard worth building strategy on — because plans rarely fail from a lack of ambition. They fail in the gap between the deck and the ground.

Veritas Strategic Advisory was founded in Kathmandu in 2025, built on four years of prior professional practice in finance, reporting and advisory. We exist to close that gap for organizations operating in Nepal and the wider South Asian region. Our teams pair international frameworks with on-the-ground fluency: in the regulatory environment, the talent market, the banking system, and the pace of change specific to this part of the world.

We carry no legacy conflicts, no template library to resell, and no incentive to stretch an engagement a week longer than it needs. What we have is focus: a small senior team, six advisory capabilities backed by a specialist network, and the ambition to earn a place beside Nepal's most trusted firms — one mandate at a time.

What we stand on

Clarity

We tell clients what we actually find, not what's easiest to hear. Every engagement starts with an honest, evidence-based read of the current state — because a plan built on comfortable assumptions is already failing.

Rigor

Our recommendations are stress-tested against data, precedent, and Nepal's regulatory reality — not intuition alone. We are only as bold as the evidence allows, and we document every assumption so you can challenge it.

Partnership

We stay through implementation. Strategy without follow-through is a memo, not a result. We embed with your team, transfer capability, and measure ourselves on outcomes — not slide counts.

Our commitments

Trust is earned one engagement at a time.

We would rather show you how we work than borrow credibility. These are the commitments every client can hold us to — in writing, in the engagement letter.

Senior-led. Specialist when needed.

A senior adviser stays on the engagement from the first call through to delivery, including the reviews and the decision meetings. Where a matter needs deeper technical expertise we bring in the right specialist, rather than staffing juniors against a partner's name.

Transparent scope and fees

Every proposal sets out the deliverables, the meeting frequency, the timeline, the assumptions and the fee before any work begins. If the work changes we re-scope together, so no invoice ever contains a surprise. Where we cannot help, we say so at the first meeting, not the last.

Your capability, not our dependency

We document the processes, train your people and leave behind reporting your team can run without us. We measure success by how little you need us afterwards — that is what brings clients back for the next problem.

Where Veritas adds value

Veritas works alongside management, internal finance teams, accountants, auditors, banks, lawyers and other professional advisors. Our role is to bring additional financial, technical and strategic expertise where it creates value.

Audit & Assurance Support

We do not undertake statutory audit engagements. We help management prepare for and navigate the audit process, and coordinate with the appointed auditor.

Accounting & Bookkeeping

We can provide or support accounting and finance functions where they form part of a broader advisory or management-support engagement.

Tax & Compliance

We provide advisory, planning and compliance-related support depending on the nature and scope of the engagement.

Specialist Matters

Where a matter requires independently appointed professional expertise, we work alongside your existing advisors or coordinate with appropriate specialists.
